Iron Man just came out - is this the start of something huge?

Just saw Iron Man last night and I'm blown away. The post-credits scene with Nick Fury mentioning the 'Avengers Initiative' has me and my friends buzzing. Marvel is doing their own movies now instead of licensing to other studios. Do you think they can really pull off a connected universe of superhero films? It seems like a crazy ambitious plan.

It's definitely ambitious, but I have faith. The casting of Robert Downey Jr. was a masterstroke. If they keep that quality, they could build something special. The Spider-Man and X-Men films are big, but they're separate. This could be bigger.

I'm skeptical. Shared universes work in comics, but movies are different. The logistics and actor contracts will be a nightmare. I think it's just a cool tease they won't fully follow through on.

As a long-time Marvel fan, this is a dream come true. That final line, "I am Iron Man," felt like a declaration. It's different from the secret identities we're used to. The tone is perfect. I'm already counting down to The Incredible Hulk next month.

The special effects for the suit were incredible. The way it built up piece by piece... it felt real. If this is the tech benchmark, future movies are going to be visually stunning. The MCU is starting with a home run.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's one great movie. Remember Batman & Robin? Superhero franchises can crash and burn fast. They need to prove they can do it again with Thor or Captain America, characters the general public doesn't know as well.
